Adam Rahn

I’m an award-winning producer, director, editor, and videographer with nearly 20 years of professional video production experience. Based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, I’ve worked across the U.S. on everything from documentaries and commercial spots to short films. I also run Droi Media, where I help businesses and creators harness the power of video through production, strategy, and education.

Beyond client work, I’ve taught courses in journalism, design, video production, and social media at the collegiate level and regularly lead workshops for businesses and individuals. I also produce and host educational content on YouTube for video creators and marketing professionals, and I’ve been a guest on multiple small-business, marketing, and video-production podcasts.

When I’m not making videos, building my own gear, or obsessing over production stats, I’m probably reading, watching video essays, running, cycling, cooking, or entertaining my four-legged assistants: my cats, Elway and Earhart, and my dog, Emerson Collieflower. I’m also a bit of an environmentalist, an avid doodler, and an enthusiastic homebrewer.

According to my wife and daughter, I’m a huge nerd—and I’m inclined to agree.

I’m a multimedia geek with 15 years of experience in print, radio, public relations, social media, and strategic planning. I’ve spent my career honing my skills in corporate and university newsrooms, government agencies, and non-profits across the Midwest. At Droi Media, I organize, plan, and develop creative ideas to help bring our clients’ stories to life. Adam and I work effortlessly as a team to deliver awesome, engaging videos.

I’m not quite as nerdy as Adam, but I do my best. When I’m not helping create video magic, you’ll probably find me hiking, volunteering Droi Media’s talents for nonprofit projects, devouring every book I can get my hands on, running, or cooking up something delicious for our foodie toddler.
